International Toilet Festival

The International Toilet Festival 2022 was a remarkable collaboration between the Recycle Bin-Cheer team, IHE Delft, the Dutch Ministry, GCC, DotProduct Solutions LLP, and British Clean. We proudly sponsored the event, and our toilet cleaning product was a preferred choice thanks to its outstanding cleaning properties. The festival featured toilet mapping, fellowship, an expo, and a festival, highlighting the importance of proper sanitation infrastructure.

The event was a great success, with around 150 volunteers and fellows mapping and surveying over 1,460 publicly accessible toilets in Chennai's hospitals, restaurants, malls, schools, libraries, and other public infrastructure. Using our smart Kakkoos App, residents can now locate the nearest public toilets with ease, thereby enhancing people's lives. We also provided training for 700 workers with 700 sanitary kits, which demonstrates our commitment to promoting good hygiene practices.

The Toilet Fellowship 2022 had two parts: an initial seven-day toilet training programme for 30 fellows and a three-month fellowship for the final 10 fellows. The training provided an interdisciplinary space for young professionals and students from various backgrounds to explore, observe, and learn about the public toilet network and sanitation conditions of the city from ground level. In addition to these events, the festival also featured a conclave, highlighting the importance of proper sanitation infrastructure.

Our commitment to excellence and sustainability is evident in our participation in the International Toilet Festival 2022, and we are proud to have contributed to this crucial event. We remain committed to enhancing the quality of life for all and creating a positive impact on society.
